Chairman Pitts Hosts Fulton-Korea Trade Reception

Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts hosted the 2024 Fulton-Korea Trade Reception on Feb. 27.

Guests included Consul General Sangpyo Suh of the Korean Consulate based in Atlanta, state and local elected officials, and business executives from LG Chem and SK – two Korean companies that already have a strong presence in Fulton County.

“It is important to recognize the contributions of the Korean people, and take note of the immense value their business and investments bring to Fulton County,” Pitts stated. “I am excited to strengthen our partnership with the Korean people to secure the high-tech jobs of tomorrow here in Fulton County.”

The reception was an opportunity for networking, teamwork and exploration of potential avenues for further collaboration between the economies of Fulton County and South Korea.

“This is just the beginning,” said Pitts, who is planning a trade mission to Korea this Spring. “We forged new friendships, shared ideas and mapped out initial plans for future ventures. My trip will be action-packed, as I plan to meet with Fulton-based Korean businesses and look to encourage new companies to explore all that Fulton County has to offer.”
