Duluth, March 5, 2025 – More than 15,000 Korean business leaders will gather in Gwinnett’s Gas South Convention Center from April 17-20 for the World Korean Business Conference (WKBC), a biennial summit attracting major corporations and SMEs worldwide.
The 2025 edition combines two flagship events—the USA and World Business Conventions—following the cancellation of the global summit in China. “Gwinnett was a natural choice, given its strong Korean business presence and premium venues like the Westin Hotel and Gas South Convention Center,” said Sunny K. Park, a WKBC organizing committee member.
South Korea is sending 400 companies, including industry heavyweights Hyundai and Samsung, alongside municipal and economic development agencies seeking foreign investment and trade partnerships. The event aims to drive bilateral commerce by facilitating direct engagement between U.S. and Korean firms.
WKBC organizers anticipate 400-600 exhibition booths, surpassing the 550 deals recorded at the previous event in Los Angeles in 2023. “The goal is to streamline trade and investment, eliminating barriers and making expansion more cost-effective,” said Peter Kim, Executive Director of the Southeast U.S. Korean Chamber of Commerce.
For Georgia and U.S. companies, the conference offers direct access to Korea’s most innovative tech, beauty, food, and home appliance brands, while investors will find high-growth opportunities with proven global success. “This is a unique moment for American SMEs to forge lasting partnerships with Korean enterprises,” said Caroline Leake, Vice President of Development at WKBC USA.
Early-bird registration is free until March 15, 2025, with general admission starting at $50 per person. More details at www.wkbc.us.
